Wedding Videography FAQs - Frankie May Weddings

What is your wedding videography style?

My filming style is natural and candid. I create wedding films with a cinematic flare and a strong focus on storytelling. I capture the big moments and the small, and all the emotions in between.

Where is Frankie May WEddings Based?

Frankie May Weddings is based in the East of England and I film weddings across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, and the rest of the UK.

is wedding videography worth it?

Yes. Obviously I’d say that! If you’re on the fence, I wrote a blog about why I think wedding videography is worth it.

How far in advance should we book our wedding videographer?

My books are open for reservations in the current year and next. If you know your date and are ready to book - me too!

Are you available for weddings outside of Norfolk or the East?

Yes! I am based in Norwich and cover the East and East Midlands, but happily travel all across the UK for weddings.

Additional travel costs may apply to locations further afield e.g. Scotland, Cornwall or the Cotswolds.

How many hours of coverage are included in your videography packages?

My packages include 10 hours of coverage, from prep to party. I typically start coverage 2.5-3 hours before your ceremony time to cover prep, and get myself and my kit ready for your ceremony.

If that doesn’t suit your timeline, I’m always happy to discuss - and you could consider having a custom package.

Do You Work With Our Photographer On the day?

Yes! In my 8+ years of wedding videography, I’ve only filmed one wedding that didn’t have a photographer. Because my videography style is natural and candid, I’m likely to be more in the background for much of your wedding day. I’ll join for the couple portraits, but won’t ask for a lot of poses. I like to keep everything relaxed and authentic - working together maximises everyone’s time and effort.

can we see full wedding films, not just a teaser or a highlight film?

For sure! I want your decision to book me to be as informed as it can be so you feel confident in your choice.

What happens if our wedding runs late?

There are a lot of moving parts in a wedding day, and sometimes they do run late. I prioritise getting the best footage over counting down to my finishing time, so while I won’t be hanging around until midnight for surprise fireworks, don’t stress if your first dance is 15 minutes late.

do you use a second videographer or assistant?

Typically no - second shooters or assistants are not included in my packages. I shoot solo, keeping my footprint small on the day to maximise the candid moments. I can’t be in two places at once, so depending on your plans I may recommend one. Get in touch to discuss!

how do we book you as our wedding videographer?

To enquire if I’m available for your date, get in touch via the contact form or email frankie@frankiemayweddings.com. I’ll let you know if I’m available, we can chat packages and make sure we’re a good fit. If you decide to go ahead, I’ll get you set up on my online booking portal, where you can accept the quote, sign the contract, and receive applicable invoices and questionnaires.

Do you require a deposit to secure our date?

Yes, a deposit of £250 is required to secure your wedding date, for any package. The remaining balance would be due 30 days before your wedding day.

How long does it take to receive our wedding film?

Your final wedding film would be edited and delivered within 12 weeks.

Can i upgrade my package after booking, or after our wedding?

Yes! You can upgrade your package before, or after, your wedding. I will add the difference between the package prices onto your final invoice, or issue an additional invoice. Your extra film(s) will be added to your gallery after payment has been received.

Can we choose the music for our wedding film?

I select licensed music that best matches the emotions and style of your wedding film. If you’ve got anything in mind when selecting the tracks, let me know e.g no guitars, or upbeat music and I’ll bear it in mind!

Do you keep a backup of our wedding video?

Yes, I keep a backup for a limited time after delivery. I strongly recommend that you download and safely store a backup of your film offline as you receive it too.
